Returns & Exchanges

Kids grow. Fit shifts between sittings, let alone seasons. Returns at MessyDays are built around that — not around catching you out.

The window

You have 7 days from the date of delivery to start a return or exchange. The piece should be unworn, unwashed, with tags and original packaging intact.

Three ways to resolve a return

Exchange (recommended) — Swap size or color at no cost. This is the fastest path, usually 3–5 business days from pickup to your replacement shipping out.

Store credit — Free pickup, credited to your MessyDays account once the item passes a quick quality check. Since sizes move fast with kids, credit rarely sits unused — and it's valid for 12 months.

Refund to original payment method or bank account — A ₹99 reverse pickup fee applies, deducted from the refund amount. This is waived on orders above ₹1,999. Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days of the item passing quality check. Prefer to skip the fee entirely? Ship the item back to us yourself at your own cost using any courier — instructions are on the return form.

Cash on Delivery orders

Since COD orders don't have a card or wallet to refund to, choose store credit (instant, free) or share your bank details on the return request form for a direct bank transfer (subject to the fee above).

If it was our mistake

Wrong item, a defect, or damage on arrival — there's no fee on any resolution path, and we prioritize your pickup. We'll also refund your original shipping charge if one applied.

What we can't take back

  • Items without original tags or packaging
  • Items that have been worn outside, washed, or show signs of use
  • Items marked Final Sale at checkout — these are eligible for exchange or store credit only
  • Innerwear or other hygiene-sensitive items, where applicable

How to start a return

Go to your Order History, select the item, and choose exchange, store credit, or refund. You'll get a confirmation with your pickup window, usually within 2–3 business days.
